Alleigha Botner, the mistress of Ashley Flynn, took the stand in the murder trial of her partner, Caleb Flynn, on September 23. Botner and Flynn first met at church in 2022, and their relationship became intimate in the spring of 2024.

Botner testified that she had given Flynn multiple deadlines to end his relationship with Ashley, but he failed to do so, claiming he did not want to hurt their two young daughters. Flynn's former mistress also testified that he had said he would file for divorce on February 16, the day Ashley was fatally shot in their home. Despite her initial love for Flynn, Botner now believes he murdered his wife.
