Aiyedatiwa adopts AI system to automate Ondo civil service

Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has introduced an AI-powered digital system to automate personnel administration, retirement, and pension processes in the civil service. At the launch, Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of adapting to technological advancements to improve government efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness.

The system, called 'Ondo AI', aims to replace outdated analogue processes with a modern, technology-driven public service. According to the governor, information and data are becoming increasingly essential for effective administration, as the speed and accuracy of decision-making determine the quality of government actions.

In demonstrating the system, SmartApps IT Limited's Managing Director, Mr. Godwin Odoma, revealed that 'Ondo AI' would automate various aspects of civil service administration, including payroll management, retirement processing, and pension migration. The platform maintains comprehensive records of civil servants, including photographs, appointment details, promotion letters, academic qualifications, complaints, and other relevant documents, all of which can be accessed instantly by authorized officials.

The self-service application also allows employees to determine their exact retirement dates, eliminating doubts about future retirement plans.
