AGC rayu keputusan mahkamah lepas, bebas remaja bunuh rakan sekolah

The Attorney-General's Chambers has filed an appeal with the Court of Appeal, seeking the release of a 15-year-old male teenager from a charge of killing a female schoolmate at a secondary school in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya last year. The AGC submitted the appeal notice to the Court of Appeal on Tuesday following the High Court's decision in Shah Alam to acquit and release the teenager from the murder charge.

According to the statement, the teenage boy was previously charged under Section 302 of the Criminal Procedure Code for killing his schoolmate in a school dormitory in Bandar Utama between 9:20 am and 9:35 am on October 14, 2025. However, Justice Adlin Abdul Majid released and discharged the teenager from the charges on September 14 after determining that the accused was not of legal age when the incident occurred.

Nonetheless, the court ordered the teenager to be placed at Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta, Perak, until the Sultan of Selangor's discretion. In response, the victim's mother, Wong Lee Ping, urged the AGC to appeal the High Court's decision before the 14-day period ends. She expressed concern over the fairness to the victim and the safety of students in school and requested the AGC to consider her concerns and consider challenging the decision for a review by a higher court.
