Aburi Amanfrom landowners appeal for government support for Atwapim development project

The landowners of Aburi Amanfrom in Ghana's Atwapim area have called on the government to provide assistance for the ongoing multimillion-dollar Atwapim land development project being led by Royal Kingdom Estates, a prominent Ghanaian construction firm. The 60-hectare initiative aims to reinvent Aburi Amanfrom as a modern residential and hospitality hub, generating jobs and boosting the local economy.

At a press conference on September 18, 2026, Seth Adu Ansah, the Head of the Royal Agona Clan, urged security forces to prioritize the protection of workers and visitors at the site, emphasizing that a secure environment would facilitate the project's timely completion. Adu Ansah also refuted claims of land ownership by certain individuals, urging those with legitimate disputes to seek resolution through proper legal channels.

Traditional authorities and landowners expressed gratitude for Royal Kingdom Estates' corporate social responsibility efforts, noting the company's investment has already fostered job opportunities for young people. They emphasized the project's potential to catalyze Aburi Amanfrom and its neighboring communities' growth, committing to collaborate to ensure its success and attract additional investments that would create more employment prospects for the youth.
