2026 Presidents Cup Thursday TV coverage: How to watch Day 1 at Medinah

The inaugural day of competition for the 2026 Presidents Cup commences on Thursday at Medinah Country Club in Chicago. This event, eagerly anticipated, pits the United States against an international team in a bid for golfing supremacy. The first tee-off is slated for 12:35 p.m. ET, with four-ball matches scheduled throughout the day. The U.S. team is led by star player Scottie Scheffler, who aims to bolster his historical underperformance in such events and propel his team towards victory.

The United States' captain, Brandt Snedeker, is tasked with ensuring his team starts the competition on a high note. Five matches will be played on Day 1, employing the four-ball format wherein the best score of each team on each hole counts towards the final tally.

The first match sees Scheffler and Sam Burns representing the U.S., facing off against Min Woo Lee and Sungjae Im from the international side. Just to note, Jacob Bridgeman and Russell Henley from the U.S. team, as well as Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Nick Taylor from the international roster, will not be participating in Thursday's matches.
