Vivek Oberoi's adopted daughter, a cancer survivor, signs her first lead role: 'See you in Dubai'

Dubai: In a touching moment at a Mumbai stage, 22-year-old Sahara Shah, the adopted daughter of Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi, signed her first lead role in a Nepali film, "26 Crore". Sahara, who battled cancer as a young child, is now cancer-free and has completed her aviation training. Oberoi, moved to tears, watched as his adopted daughter made her film debut, fulfilling a childhood dream she had always held.

S Sahara expressed her gratitude towards Oberoi, whom she fondly calls "dada", for his unwavering support throughout her journey. Despite being only halfway through her career, she acknowledged that she could never match the heights to which he has reached. She framed the announcement as a gift for Oberoi's 50th birthday, which was celebrated on September 3rd. The actor, visibly emotional, hugged his daughter and applauded as she signed the contract and unveiled the film's poster.

Oberoi recalled their first meeting, when he first saw the young girl during her chemotherapy treatment at a hospital. He expressed his pride and joy at her cancer-free status and her successful career debut. He also implored her to stay grateful and to use her platform to help others in need, emphasizing that she fought against cancer and achieved happiness.
