“Strongest agreement between our countries”: Zelensky, Australian PM sign bilateral agreement

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese signed a major bilateral agreement on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, according to Ukrinform. The agreement is described as the "strongest document" between their nations, signifying an enhancement in joint production, trade, and security.

Zelensky emphasized that the agreement is not only for the duration of the war but also for the long term. He stressed that the relationship between their countries began with close partners during wartime and aims to provide security for their people.

Albanese expressed his admiration for the Ukrainian people, praising them for their bravery, courage, and dedication to defending their sovereign state. He also announced an additional $60 million in support for Ukraine, which includes military and humanitarian assistance. The Australian PM highlighted that Australia, along with other countries, is aiding in the development of Ukraine's naval capabilities and is actively involved in the Coalition of the Willing.

Albanese reiterated Australia's commitment to Ukraine's security, stating that Australia has been steadfast since the beginning of the conflict and will continue to be so.
