Skipper Gill fortunate to have Rohit, Virat to help him on & off-field: Gambhir

India's head coach Gautam Gambhir praised senior players Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya for their crucial roles in the team's ODI lineup ahead of the upcoming series against West Indies and the 2027 World Cup. Bumrah and Hardik are valuable assets, as few teams have a player who can bowl 10 overs, bat at number six or seven, and contribute significantly.

Hardik needs more game time, particularly after the IPL, where he hasn't played much cricket. Gambhir emphasized that the young captain, Shubman Gill, is fortunate to have the guidance of veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, both of whom assist him both on and off the field.
