Sheraton The Walk: For family staycations favouring relaxed fun over high-adrenaline activities

The UAE offers a variety of family-friendly staycation options, with many resorts featuring water parks, theme parks, kids' clubs, pools, and movie nights. However, a family sought a different experience after a summer of action-packed weekends in Abu Dhabi. They decided to explore Dubai from a tourist perspective, visiting friends and attending events.

Sheraton The Walk, formerly known as Delta Hotels by Marriott Jumeirah Beach, turned out to be the ideal choice. Located in Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), a popular tourist destination, the hotel serves as both a base for exploration and a destination. Upon arriving in JBR, guests are greeted by a forest of high-rise hotels, each boasting rooftop pools and restaurants.

The hotel's staff greeted the family with a warm, friendly welcome, efficiently handling parking and check-in. The family suite, a spacious two-bedroom accommodation, provided ample space for the family, complete with a kitchen, laundry room, three bathrooms, a lounge, and a dining area. This allowed the family to prepare snacks and meals, offering a sense of comfort and convenience.

For breakfast, the family opted for Jones the Grocer, offering a buffet with a wide range of options to cater to everyone's preferences. The hotel's dining options included Speakeasy Bar and Restaurant, a relaxed atmosphere serving familiar favorites like fish and chips, nachos, and burgers. The family also dined at Fogueira Restaurant and Lounge, a Brazilian steakhouse located on the 35th floor, offering traditional rodizio-style service that turned the meal into an enjoyable experience for the children.

The hotel's location in JBR provided easy access to popular family attractions, restaurants, and beaches, allowing the family to explore on foot during cooler months. The neighborhood's pedestrian-friendly nature added to the enjoyable stay.
