Rivers Hoopers head coach Ogoh Odaudu expressed his joy after the team reclaimed the Nigeria Premier Basketball League title. The Hoopers defeated Gboko City Chiefs 88-76 in the 2026 Final Four, securing the championship with a game to spare. This victory came after they narrowly lost the previous season's final to Maktown Flyers by two points. Odaudu praised his team's performance, stating that they wanted to avoid a repeat of their heartbreaking loss at home last year.
