Putrajaya Line back to normal after brake fault as Kelana Jaya operations stabilise following station congestion

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 — Rapid KL has announced that service on the Putrajaya Line has returned to normal after a train with a brake system malfunction at Jalan Ipoh Station was removed from service. The update was posted on the operator's official Facebook page this morning. Rapid KL had previously implemented alternative train arrangements in response to the incident, but these measures have now been discontinued following the removal of the affected train.

The operator informed passengers that train waiting times may be slightly longer as service frequency is being regulated. Rapid KL also reported congestion at several stations on the Kelana Jaya Line, including Sri Rampai, Wangsa Maju, Setiawangsa, Jelatek, Masjid Jamek and Pasar Seni. To ensure safety, crowd control measures and passenger flow management were implemented at the affected stations.

Later, Rapid KL confirmed that the manually operated train at Kelana Jaya Station had also been removed from service. The operator stated that train frequency on the Kelana Jaya Line is being re-regulated and that operations would return to normal. Rapid KL has stated that further updates will be provided through its official social media channels.
