Police set September 23 deadline for SPY documentation in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command initiated a comprehensive documentation and verification process for all Supernumerary Police personnel stationed within the state. This initiative commenced on September 23, 2026, and is set to conclude on October 7, 2026. Deputy Superintendent of Police Oluseyi Babasiyi, the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, announced this through a statement on X on Wednesday.

The police directive extends to all organizations housing SPY personnel, mandating them to ensure their respective staff attend the Police Public Relations Department at the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, located in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for the exercise. The stipulated documentation includes training certificates, photocopies, warrant cards or certificates of "To Whom It May Concern," recent passport photographs in approved uniform, and other pertinent documents.
