PM describes actions of Negeri Sembilan MB and Exco members as rude and uncivilised

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim rebuked the actions of the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar and State Executive Council members, describing their conduct as rude and uncivilised. He argued that these individuals had no right to question the position of the Ruler, stating that the Federal Government bears the responsibility of upholding national security and the integrity of institutions, while ensuring state governance adheres to the Constitution and established regulations.

Anwar questioned the mandate of the Menteri Besar and Exco to challenge the Ruler's position, emphasizing that such decisions must go through the proper process and have a valid legal basis. He reiterated that the institution of the Malay Rulers must be upheld, and any attempt to dismantle it would set a dangerous precedent. The Prime Minister also reminded that the Federal Government cannot interfere in the affairs of the Rulers, and stated that the decisions made by the Conference of Rulers cannot be influenced by the government.
