Pakistani cricketer, who scored 225 runs, fined 10% match fee along with his team

Dubai witnessed a remarkable cricket match as Mohammad Taha, a Pakistani cricketer, scored an impressive 225 runs in a PTV second-round Presidents Trophy Grade-I match against State Bank of Pakistan. Taha faced 362 balls and hit 22 fours and two sixes, contributing significantly to PTV's innings which overtook SBP's 433 run total.

His innings led PTV to a 36-run lead in the first innings. Despite his stellar performance, Taha and his team faced a setback as the Pakistan Cricket Board announced a punishment for a minimum over-rate offence. The charge was leveled by umpires Saqib Khan and Farooq Ali and resulted in every member of the PTV playing XI, including Taha and captain Taimur Khan, being fined 10% of their match fees.

Although Taha was not found guilty of any wrongdoing, he still had to bear the financial penalty. This incident also resulted in PTV losing one point from the total accrued after the first two rounds of the competition. Unfortunately, Taha did not get the opportunity to add to his score in the second innings as the match ended in a draw.
