No President has done what Tinubu is doing in South-East – Umahi

Minister of Works, David Umahi, has asserted that no other President has undertaken the initiatives President Bola Tinubu is currently engaging in for the people of the South-East. He made this statement on Tuesday while accepting a report from the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) regarding its tour of federal roads across Nigeria. Umahi declared, "No other President has done what President Tinubu has done for the South-East, whether by appointment, inclusion or projects."

Moreover, Umahi commented on the upcoming 2027 presidential elections, suggesting that Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, would receive fewer votes if the electorate were well-educated. He further stated, "The more we educate our people, the less votes Peter Obi will get. Peter Obi cannot win in 2027."

In addition to these remarks, Umahi urged Igbo leaders to enlighten the South-Eastern population about President Bola Tinubu's accomplishments in the region. He emphasized the importance of bold and vocal communication, urging, "It is important for the leaders of the South-East to be bold, vocal and speak to our people, the Igbos, about what President Tinubu has done and is doing for the Igbos."
