NATO jets scrambled in Poland, Romania as Russia strikes Ukraine

Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha has accused Russia of deliberately targeting Ukraine's maritime corridor, ports, and agricultural infrastructure with the goal of disrupting grain exports. In a statement on social media platform X, Sybiha wrote that food security should not be used as a tool for Russian aggression or blackmail.

Speaking after a meeting with the Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), Carl Skau, Sybiha stated that the effects of Russian attacks will be felt far beyond the Black Sea region, as Ukraine provides a significant portion of grain and sunflower oil to global markets. He emphasized that Ukrainian exports are crucial for millions of people, particularly in Africa and other regions.

Sybiha stressed that restoring freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, protecting Ukraine's ports, and holding Russia accountable are urgent global priorities.
