Manchester United expects higher fiscal 2027 revenue on Champions League boost

Manchester United expects to see an increase in its fiscal 2027 revenue, attributed to their qualification for this season's Champions League. The English football club, 20-time English champions, has faced inconsistency both on and off the pitch, leading to a seventh consecutive annual loss. Despite spending over a decade in pursuit of the success achieved under the guidance of manager Alex Ferguson, Manchester United's minority owner, British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, has implemented cost-cutting measures such as job reductions and ticket price hikes to address debt and improve profitability.

The club's Chief Executive Officer, Omar Berrada, affirmed their commitment to maintaining a disciplined financial approach to ensure sustainability. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, Manchester United anticipates revenue to range between £740 million and £760 million ($982.8 million to $1.01 billion), compared to £677.6 million reported in fiscal 2026.

The club reported an annual net loss of £43 million, an increase from £33 million the previous year.
