Manchester United expects higher fiscal 2027 revenue on Champions League boost

Manchester United anticipates an increase in fiscal 2027 revenue due to the team's qualification for this season's Champions League, despite the club's ongoing financial challenges. The football giants, who have been English champions 20 times, have struggled to replicate their previous success under manager Alex Ferguson. The club's minority owner, British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, has taken measures to reduce debt and improve profitability, including job cuts and increased ticket prices.

CEO Omar Berrada stated that the organization remains committed to a disciplined approach to ensure its finances remain sustainable. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, Manchester United forecasts revenue between £740 million and £760 million ($982.8 million to $1.01 billion), an increase from £677.6 million reported in fiscal 2026. The club reported an annual net loss of £43 million, up from £33 million the previous year.
