Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the 81st United Nations General Assembly session in New York on Wednesday, reaffirming Tehran's openness to dialogue and discussion but asserting that it would not yield to what he termed as "language of violence" or discussions conducted under threat. During his speech, Pezeshkian stated that Iran is willing to engage in dialogue, but will not yield to pressure.

"We will never yield," he declared, while explaining that Iran is prepared to engage in discussions provided that the discussions are not accompanied by threats. Pezeshkian noted the clear hypocrisy when Israel possesses nuclear weapons without being a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), yet inspectors are demanded to come to Iran.

"Israel kills over 70,000 innocent people in Gaza with ruthlessness, but when Iran is on the negotiating table, it is bombed," he said. Pezeshkian reiterated Iran's denial of pursuing nuclear weapons. However, he stated that Iran has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. "We will not yield and will assert our right that rightfully belongs to us," he declared.

"We make it clear: no nuclear weapons and no restrictions on nuclear technology for peaceful purposes."
