Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his stance on the United Nations during the 81st General Assembly session in New York on Wednesday. Speaking at the event, Pezeshkian affirmed that Tehran remains open to dialogue and discussion, but would not accept what he referred to as "language of violence" or discussions held under threat.

Addressing the UN General Assembly session, Pezeshkian stated that Iran is willing to engage in dialogue, but will not yield to pressure. "We will never submit," he declared, while outlining that Iran is prepared to engage in talks provided that there are no threats attached. Pezeshkian noted a clear hypocrisy when Israel possesses nuclear weapons but is not a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), yet inspectors are invited to Iran.

"Israel kills over 70,000 innocent people in Gaza brutally," he said, "but Iran, when at the negotiating table, is bombed." Pezeshkian reiterated Iran's claim that the country has not sought nuclear weapons. However, he stated that Iran has a right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. "We will not submit and will not relinquish rights that are rightfully ours," he asserted.

"We make this clear: No nuclear weapons and no constraints on nuclear technology for peaceful purposes," he declared.
