Jan Suraaj leader shot at 5 times in Patna, Prashant Kishor rushes to hospital

On Wednesday evening, Jan Suraaj Party leader Anil Yadav was shot at five times in his residence located in the Buddha Colony police station area of Patna. Initially, Yadav was taken to Udayan Hospital on Boring Road, but he was later transferred to Medanta Hospital for further medical attention. Police received information about the incident around 7:30 pm.

According to police, Yadav was sitting in the basement of his apartment when three men arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire. Two bullet injuries were sustained by Yadav's legs, while another bullet struck his lower abdomen. Forensic scientists have been deployed to collect evidence from the crime scene, and CCTV footage from the area is being examined.

Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraaj, rushed to the hospital upon learning of the shooting. He questioned the state government regarding Bihar's law and order situation, expressing concern over the safety of its citizens. The opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav also visited Medanta Hospital to meet Yadav and his family, emphasizing the need for strict punishment for the perpetrators.

Independent MP Pappu Yadav also visited Yadav's family at the hospital, pointing out the proximity of the incident to the Chief Minister's residence and questioning the safety of ordinary citizens in Bihar.
