Israeli soldier accused of Gaza war crimes leaves India after complaint: Report

An Israeli soldier facing allegations of war crimes in Gaza has reportedly left India, according to a report by Middle East Eye. The soldier's identity has not been disclosed, but a lawyer familiar with the case told Middle East Eye that he departed the country in mid-September. It is currently unknown whether the complaint from the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF) prompted his departure or if he left after finishing his vacation.

This incident is the second of its kind this year involving the HRF, which has identified Israeli soldiers traveling in India and filed complaints against them. In June, the organization submitted evidence, including geolocated videos and chain-of-command documentation, to Indian authorities seeking the arrest of Eitan Gilboa, an Israeli military reservist stationed in Himachal Pradesh.

Gilboa was accused of involvement in the demolition of civilian buildings in Khan Younis and Rafah. The HRF's pursuit of legal complaints against Israeli military personnel in India has drawn attention to the presence of such individuals among Israeli tourists.
