IPL 2027 auction to be held in Goa in December

The 2027 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction is scheduled to take place in Goa in December, signaling the event's return to India after three overseas editions, according to BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia. The auction will replace previous editions held in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi over the past three years. Saikia informed ANI that Goa has been selected as the venue for this year's auction, which is set to take place in December.

Additionally, the BCCI has rescheduled the India A Women's multi-day match against Australia A Women from September 29 to October 2 due to persistent rainfall and unfavorable ground conditions in Dharamshala. The match will now be played at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, where the ongoing three-match One-Day series between India A Women and Australia A Women is also being held.

This change was made to ensure uninterrupted cricketing activities and favorable playing conditions. India A Women secured a victory in the opening match of the series by four wickets against Australia A Women, who were chasing 236 runs.
