Invest Qatar, Aurion Capital, LG NOVA engage to advance technology investments, venture building in Qatar

In a strategic move to strengthen investments and foster innovation, Invest Qatar has teamed up with Aurion Capital and LG NOVA. This collaboration aims to scale regional investments and promote the commercialization of emerging technologies and ventures, propelling Qatar's status as a regional hub for entrepreneurship and high-growth ventures. The partnership was announced during the Qatar Economic Forum, held at the 2026 United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the parties establishes a framework to explore collaboration on shared priorities, including innovation programs and scale-up support in sectors like AI, digital health, FinTech, digital infrastructure, sports, media, and entertainment. A new hub in the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) will serve as a regional platform to support the expansion of advanced technology solutions and foster collaboration among innovators, investors, and industry partners.

Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al Thani, CEO of Invest Qatar, emphasized the country's strengths, including its world-class R&D ecosystem, talented workforce, and pro-business regulatory environment, making it an ideal destination for testing, deploying, and commercializing advanced technologies. Aurion Capital's Ali Diallo highlighted the future of innovation through stronger connections between global markets and ecosystems, expressing optimism about the partnership's potential to unlock new investment opportunities and accelerate the growth of transformative technologies in Qatar.

LG Electronics' Sokwoo Rhee, EVP of Corporate Innovation and Head of LG NOVA, echoed these sentiments, stating that the partnership aligns with the company's mission to build a platform that helps scale world-class companies and strengthen the flow of innovation across regions. The collaboration between Invest Qatar, Aurion Capital, and LG NOVA is expected to create meaningful businesses, shape the future of technology, and contribute to Qatar's long-term economic diversification efforts.
