Ex-NFL star Antonio Brown to accept plea deal on attempted murder charge, lawyer says

Antonio Brown's attempted murder case has reached a conclusion, according to initial reports from TMZ. Initially charged with second-degree attempted murder with a firearm following a May 2025 shooting in Miami, Brown now faces a different fate. TMZ reports that the former NFL wide receiver is set to accept a plea deal, avoiding any prison time.

The terms of the deal have not been fully disclosed, but Brown's attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, confirmed to TMZ Sports that the charges will be significantly reduced, resulting in probation instead of prison. Eiglarsh noted that Brown's defense argued self-defense under Florida's Stand Your Ground law, but the plea deal was deemed the best option by both parties.

Brown left the U.S. for Dubai shortly after the incident before being extradited back to the country in November 2025. He was initially released on bond in late November before the plea agreement was reached. The case, which revolved around a May 2025 shooting incident outside an Adin Ross boxing event in Miami's Little Haiti, remains a subject of interest as Brown prepares to formally accept the plea deal on September 30.
