Delhi teen gangrape accused was fired from job for misbehaving with women: Cops

Three men accused of gangraping a 17-year-old girl at a park in South Delhi were recently arrested after committing the crime. Among them, Hemant Singh, one of the accused, was a law graduate who had been preparing to appear for the judicial services entrance exam for nearly a decade. His brother, Mukesh, was a college student, and the third accused, Asif, had recently been fired from his job at a gym following complaints about his inappropriate behavior towards women.

Asif reportedly carried a gun and had been involved in petty crimes within the park. According to investigators, he was suspected of multiple snatchings in the area and had harassed women and girls before the incident. Some security guards claimed Asif acted like a local strongman, threatening vulnerable people, including girls from economically weaker backgrounds. All three accused lived in proximity to the park at the time of the alleged rape.
