Defense Forces hit UAV command posts, Rubicon unit UAV depot, other Russian targets – General Staff

On September 22 and the night of September 23, Ukraine's Armed Forces launched strikes against several Russian military targets in eastern Ukraine, according to the General Staff. These targets included drone command posts, a drone depot managed by Russia's Rubicon unit, and military logistics facilities. The strikes occurred in both the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

In the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian drone command posts situated near Novoselivka Persha and Dachne. Additionally, a drone storage depot belonging to Rubicon was struck near Volnovakha. Rubicon is a specialized Russian Defense Ministry drone warfare center that operates reconnaissance and strike drones, trains drone operators, and develops and tests unmanned systems.

Ukrainian forces also targeted Russian logistics facilities, hitting a fuel and lubricants depot near Kundriuche in the Luhansk region, and two military supply warehouses near Hirnyk and Velyka Shyshovka in the Donetsk region.

Near Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces attacked an area where personnel from a Russian drone unit were concentrated. This attack followed a previous strike on a Russian military site near Tsimbulova in Russia's Oryol region, which was used to store, prepare, and launch attack drones. The initial attack damaged at least three drone storage facilities, a launch pad for jet-powered drones, and five launchers.

Fires and secondary explosions were also reported at that site. Satellite imagery following the attack showed damage to the facility, including struck structures and the wreckage of burned-out drones.
