Aruna leads Africans bright start in French league

Quadri Aruna, a Nigerian player, kicked off his French Pro B League journey with Amiens STT on Tuesday night, leading the team to a 3-2 win against Lille Metropole TT. Aruna, who joined the club in May, is anticipated to play a crucial role in Amiens' pursuit of promotion to the French top division. Fellow African players Mehdi Bouloussa from Algeria and Segun Toriola from Nigeria also contributed significantly to their respective teams' victories.

Toriola, who doubles as a player-coach, assisted Nantes in a 3-1 triumph over Frejus AMSL, alongside Youssef Abdelaziz and Panagiotis Gionis. This win follows Aruna's opening match win against Iran's Hossein Hodaei, bringing a positive start to African players in the French competition.
