Warehouse rents in western Ukraine triple amid Russian strikes

Russian strikes on Ukraine claimed at least eight lives and injured 37 others on Sept. 22, according to local authorities. An overnight ballistic missile attack on the Interpipe industrial complex in Dnipro killed four employees and damaged crucial production machinery, forcing the company to cease operations. Interpipe, a Ukrainian steel pipe and railway products manufacturer with 9,500 employees, exports its goods to over 50 nations.

This attack is part of a growing Russian offensive against Ukraine’s railway system, which has escalated in recent months. Russian forces have frequently targeted railway infrastructure, including locomotives, stations, and facilities near the country’s western borders, particularly Moldova and Poland. Russian airstrikes on September 22 were delivered by Onyx anti-ship missiles, Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles, four Kalibr cruise missiles, eight Banderol/Dan-T weapons, and 212 drones. Ukraine managed to neutralize or destroy 186 aerial targets, including 177 drones.

The primary targets were Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions, with strikes reported at 22 different locations. In Dnipro, four deaths were recorded, while another fatality was reported elsewhere in the oblast. In Kharkiv Oblast, a 45-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy were killed in an attack on Katerynivka. In Donetsk Oblast, a single fatality and 11 injuries were reported in Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Krasnotorka, and Druzhkivka.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast saw one fatality and nine injuries, including a child, across Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts. Kyiv recorded three wounded individuals, and 34 sites suffered damage in Kyiv Oblast, including homes, vehicles, warehouses, and a business.
