Vodafone Qatar announces digitisation strategy milestone with Google Cloud

Vodafone Qatar has reported significant advancements in its partnership with Google Cloud at the Google Cloud Summit Doha, as part of a joint effort to support Qatar's digital transformation. This progress, following a partnership agreement established at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Doha in November 2025, focuses on modernising infrastructure and integrating agentic and generative AI solutions on a large scale.

The collaboration aims to transition Vodafone Qatar from traditional infrastructure to a cloud-native platform, with the successful migration of core workloads such as Nokia Corteca from on-premises data centres to Google Cloud being a key milestone. This shift boosts network agility and prepares the company for potential 6G advancements.

Additionally, the initiative includes the deployment of Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise across various business units, enhancing operational efficiency and accelerating service development through no-code agents. These agents, powered by Google Cloud's agentic AI, enable employees to automate complex business processes with minimal technical expertise.

Baran Yurdagul, Vodafone Qatar's chief operating officer, highlighted that the collaboration underscores the company's commitment to Qatar's digital future, leveraging AI to optimise operations and enhance customer experiences through intelligent AI assistants.
