Motorola is making a comeback in the flagship phone market, unveiling the Motorola Signature 27, which Motorola claims is "the most advanced smartphone it has ever created." This new phone marks the first Motorola flagship to adopt the company's new numerical, year-based naming structure, signaling Motorola's ambition to compete with the best Android phones of 2027.

The Signature 27 is also the first Motorola phone to come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, the same one expected to power the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. This chipset gives the Signature 27 a competitive edge over its predecessor, the Motorola Signature, which uses the less powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

The Signature 27's display, battery, and rear camera specifications remain undisclosed, but the teaser suggests it will feature a 200MP Sony sensor in a four-camera rear setup, potentially rivaling the best camera phones of next year.
