UP: Woman, mother bludgeoned to death in Etah, cops suspect husband and father-in-law

In the village of Awagarh, located in Uttar Pradesh's Etah district, a gruesome crime unfolded in the early hours of the morning on Monday night. A woman, Kamla Devi, and her daughter, Priyanka, were found brutally bludgeoned to death at their home. Both women were residents of the area and had sustained injuries to their faces and eyes, as indicated by police sources.

Priyanka, the daughter, lived with her children in her parents' house on the outskirts of Yadav Nagar locality. According to reports, she had a disagreement with her husband, leading to the tragic incident. Police were alerted around 12:30 am on Tuesday, and upon arrival at the crime scene, they were informed by Priyanka's children that their parents were responsible for her death.

Based on the children's statements, a case was registered against Kamla Devi's husband and father-in-law. The police subsequently launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspects, and teams from various stations under the Jalesar circle, along with the Kotwali Dehat police, were deployed at the crime scene. Forensic teams and a dog squad were also present to collect crucial evidence.

The bodies of the victims were sent for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death, the weapon used, and any other relevant details. Police assured that further actions would be taken depending on the findings of the investigation and the post-mortem report.
