Tidligere DNB-direktør fikk «kalddusj» av NHH: – Har bare bachelorgrad

Ine Oftedahl, formerly the head of data transformation at DNB, expressed her shock after discovering her bachelor's degree from NHH was not recognized for a position at Storebrand. Despite having 120 study points, good grades, and a recommended background check, Oftedahl learned that the university inquired about her degree and concluded she didn't have a fully completed master's degree in civil engineering.

This revelation caused her an "identity crisis of dimensions," with her questioning whether the issue was hers or NHH's. Storebrand proceeded with hiring her despite the educational surprise. The university's communications director, Geir Mikalsen, acknowledged the difficulty of the situation, noting the requirement of a specific combination of subjects for degree qualification.

Oftedahl was not notified of the discrepancy earlier and did not receive a letter of recommendation due to her mismatched combination of subjects.
