QC discusses enhancing trade and investment cooperation with Finland

In Doha, Qatar, the Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al Thani, met with Juha Mustonen, the Ambassador of Finland to Qatar, along with Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba, Second Vice Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, and Eng. Ali bin Abdul Latif Al Misnad, a Board Member. The agenda of their discussion was to explore the potential for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between Qatar and Finland, as well as to identify areas of mutual interest for business communities from both nations.

The two sides deliberated on the prospects of expanding economic relations and the establishment of a Qatari-Finnish Business Forum scheduled for September 29, at the Chamber's headquarters. This forum aims to convene leading business executives from both countries to discuss potential collaborations and partnerships. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim expressed Qatar Chamber's enthusiasm for fostering cooperation between Qatari and Finnish firms, emphasizing the interest of Qatari business leaders in leveraging Finnish expertise and technologies to bolster both economies.

On the other hand, the Finnish Ambassador highlighted that the delegation joining the forum will represent various sectors, including education, security technology, artificial intelligence, space, energy, telecommunications, and more. Notable Finnish companies like Nokia, Tesi, and Patria will be among the participants, showcasing their commitment to exploring business opportunities in the Qatari market.

Both sides underscored the mutual benefits of these partnerships, paving the way for a robust and diversified business relationship between Qatar and Finland.
