Pollock joins Haaland on YouTube after bumper new Saints deal

Henry Pollock, the 21-year-old flanker for Northampton Saints, has followed in the footsteps of Erling Haaland by joining YouTube. The young athlete recently inked a substantial new contract with his club, after a contract dispute with his management agency, Matchroom Talent Agency. The £400,000-a-year deal is a two-season extension for a player who was originally slated to leave at the end of the upcoming Prem Rugby campaign.

Pollock, who is also an England international and former British and Irish Lion, has expressed his delight at the new arrangement and his continued commitment to the team.

Like Haaland, Pollock has also begun a YouTube channel, capitalizing on the growing popularity of video-sharing platforms. Haaland's channel began with a video 10 months ago and has since garnered 14 million views, with an additional 4.5 million subscribers. Pollock's inaugural video, posted on Tuesday, garnered 1,500 subscribers quickly, as he shared a tour of his new life at Northampton Saints.

The episode included activities such as preparing scrambled eggs, visiting Starbucks, signing his new contract, and exploring the club's stadium, Franklin's Gardens.

Pollock's enthusiasm for the new venture is evident, as he expressed happiness at staying with the young, ambitious group of players at the club. Regarding the speculation surrounding his new deal and channel, Pollock acknowledged that his team is responsible for the content, urging fans to focus on the rugby and not the drama.
