One lakh jobs promise: CM Yogi hands appointment letters to over 3,500 UPESSC candidates

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to over 3,500 candidates chosen by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) on Tuesday. This announcement was made as part of his pledge to provide one lakh jobs to youth in six months. The Chief Minister had already handed out nearly 5,300 appointment letters across the state.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party and its leader Akhilesh Yadav, Yogi declared, "No 'Saifai Syndicate' can now dare to plunder the interests of meritorious students." Former DGP Prashant Kumar serves as the chairman of the UPESSC. The event marked the distribution of appointment letters for a total of 3,567 individuals, who will assume vital roles in secondary education, including assistant teachers, lecturers, headmasters, and principals.

The program aimed to fulfill the aspirations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a self-reliant and developed India. In the past week, 5,297 youths received appointment letters, bringing the cumulative total to 9.5 lakh youths since the past nine years. The Chief Minister alleged that during the Samajwadi Party's reign, candidates had to pay exorbitant fees to secure jobs, leading to instances where deserving applicants were deprived of opportunities.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak emphasized the crucial role of newly appointed teachers in shaping the future of society and the nation. He called for a review of the state's situation before 2017 to identify areas requiring improvement and support for students engaging in protests in Prayagraj.
