Negeri Sembilan MB, exco to meet Tunku Nadzaruddin tomorrow

The Negeri Sembilan state executive council, led by Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim, is set to meet with Tunku Nadzaruddin Tuanku Ja’afar tomorrow morning at 9am. The invitation described the gathering as an "ice-breaking" session aimed at fostering rapport among the Tunku, the Menteri Besar, and the council members. Other attendees expected to be present are four purported undangs, the Tunku Besar of Tampin, and the Shahbandar of Sungai Ujong.

Additionally, the council recently suspended Zafir Ibrahim and Muzalmah Mustapha Kamal from their roles as state secretary and legal adviser, respectively, following a special meeting. However, the legitimacy of the state exco's suspension has been called into question after the Yang Dipertuan Besar revoked the appointments of its members on Sunday.

Despite this, Ismail maintains that all council members remain in their positions. The Menteri Besar vehemently disputes the Yang Dipertuan Besar's decision, asserting that the ruler cannot terminate an exco member's tenure without the state's endorsement or request. Following a council statement endorsing Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir's removal as Yang Dipertuan Besar in April, the state's Dewan Keadilan dan Undang declared that the exco's decision lacked legal effect, and Tuanku Muhriz remains the legitimate ruler.
