The game was tied at 74-74 when a foul call against Phoenix was overturned with 13.3 seconds left in the quarter, giving the Mercury the ball.

Alyssa Thomas then found Copper on a backdoor cut to take the lead. Paige Bueckers shot 3-point attempt missed at the buzzer. Dallas, who had a six-game winning streak, fell to 26-17. Bueckers contributed 30 points and seven assists, while Jessica Shepard added 17 points and 19 rebounds.
