Russia and Ukraine exchanged strikes on infrastructure overnight, as they prepare to discuss the ongoing conflict at the United Nations General Assembly. Ukrainian officials confirmed that Russian strikes on the cities of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region killed four people and disrupted electricity for thousands.

The strikes involved anti-ship and ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles, and 212 drones. In Dnipro, four fatalities and six injuries were reported, along with damage to a local business and warehouse. Russian drones, in turn, killed one person and injured four in the Samara region, an area containing important oil refineries.

Russia's Defense Ministry reported intercepting 297 drones across various regions overnight. Despite both nations denying targeting civilians, they each accuse the other of causing civilian casualties. The attacks coincide with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's planned meeting with US President Donald Trump during the UN General Assembly, while Russian President Vladimir Putin is not expected to attend.
