Exco N Sembilan gantung tugas setiausaha kerajaan, penasihat undang-undang

Exco N Sembilan has suspended the duties of Zafir Ibrahim and Muzalmah Mustapha Kamal, who were setiausaha negeri and penasihat undang-undang respectively. This decision was made unanimously by the Exco N Sembilan. The Minister of the State, Ismail Lasim, announced the suspension of their duties during a special Exco meeting today.

The notice for the suspension of their duties as setiausaha negeri will be communicated to the head of the setiausaha negara and the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam. Subsequently, the notice for the suspension of their duties as penasihat undang-undang negara will be communicated to the Jabatan Peguam Negara, he said in a statement. This action was taken a few days after the state government administration stated that it would not continue with the request of the chief minister to declare the dismissal of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang Di Pertuan Besar.

The State Secretariat previously announced that they decided not to take any action regarding the request by Ismail after receiving the AGC's view on the announcement of the Exco members' lineup concerning the dismissal notice dated April 19. Furthermore, this matter has been referred to the penasihat undang-undang negeri to ensure that every action complies with the state constitution and law.
