Exclusive-Anthropic, OpenEvidence partner to bring medical AI worldwide

Anthropic, a leading AI startup, and OpenEvidence, a medical knowledge platform, have joined forces to provide AI-powered clinical decision support to healthcare providers worldwide, particularly in regions with limited resources. OpenEvidence offers free access to its platform for clinicians in the United States and Europe, while the new collaboration aims to bring the technology to over 100 countries, including Uganda, Angola, Sudan, Haiti, and Mongolia.

The initiative will initially be free for healthcare providers in these regions, with Anthropic's technology handling the back-end support while OpenEvidence tailors the system to accommodate local healthcare infrastructure. The partnership addresses concerns about unequal access to medical information and the potential shortage of physicians in low- and middle-income nations.
