As global leaders convened in New York for the UN General Assembly, AI governance and digital transformation were among the subjects garnering heightened international interest. The UN General Assembly is engaging in conversations regarding the necessity for international cooperation, safety, accountability, and human oversight in AI governance.

Regional peace and security were also significant themes in the Ruto-Rubio discussions. Ruto informed that they deliberated on the continuation of the security mission in Somalia, where Kenya has been instrumental in regional endeavors to curb insecurity and bolster stability.
