Creative Assembly says Alien: Isolation 2's protagonist is a Yutani employee, which offers 'a new perspective to the franchise' — 'Weyland-Yutani is an English-Japanese speaking company, and the Japanese side doesn't really get explored that much'

Creative Assembly reveals that the protagonist of Alien: Isolation 2 will be a Weyland-Yutani employee named Blake, offering a fresh perspective on the franchise. Principal environment artist Archie Whitehead and principal UI artist Laura Mouther spoke on the subject at Gamescom. Blake's Japanese side of Weyland-Yutani hasn't been extensively explored, according to Whitehead, and the developers are eager to delve deeper into this aspect.

Mouther emphasizes that Blake's role as a high-ranking employee brings a unique experience compared to the average individuals in the first game. Blake, who was sent to Kurosaki against her will, aims to redeem herself and unintentionally unleashes the Xenomorph onto the colony. The developers believe players will connect with and appreciate Blake's journey, with each player taking a unique approach to the story.

Alien: Isolation 2 is set to release on multiple platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
