Last year, the ADAPT theatre group made history by performing at San Pedro's newly built Geli Albaladejo theatre, named after the renowned local actress who passed away in 2021. Prior to this, San Pedro had been without a dedicated theatre for years following the closure of its previous town centre venue. Prior performances, including ADAPT's pantomime since 2012, were held in the Salón de Actos, a small space primarily meant for institutional presentations and speeches, lacking the amenities typically associated with a theatre such as a backstage area, curtains and quality technical equipment.
The new Geli Albaladejo theatre, unveiled less than two years ago, presented a significant challenge for ADAPT as they transitioned from the intimate setting of the Salón de Actos. However, the group's fears were alleviated as they sold nearly 1000 tickets for their three performances, thoroughly enjoying the professional atmosphere. Performing in the new theatre has undoubtedly elevated the group's work without sacrificing the sense of fun and spontaneity for which they are known.
ADAPT will present Aladdin at the Geli Albaladejo Theatre in San Pedro del Pinatar on November 27th at 7 p.m. and November 28th at 12 noon and 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at bit.ly/Aladdin2026 and are now available at various outlets, including Annie's Bar, Lo Pagán, Spanish Home Finders, Papelería Librería ARCO, and Dr. Artero Guirao bookstore.
