A major change is coming to Africa’s fast-growing gaming industry
The African Lotteries & Gaming Association (ALGA) plans to establish a Continental Dispute Resolution Ombudsman for Africa’s lotteries and gaming sector. Announced by ALGA Board Chairperson Sebina Hlapolosa at the 2026 CEOs Forum in KwaZulu-Natal, the proposed ombudsman would provide an independent mechanism for considering industry disputes and concerns.
