By doing so, we can better understand AI's growing role in people's lives and its potential to become a new form of spiritual guidance.

AI's charismatic appeal lies in its ability to provide personalized, near-instant responses that feel insightful and authoritative. Users can develop a deep sense of trust in AI as a unique source of guidance, much like a charismatic religious leader who gathers followers who recognize their extraordinary authority. As AI becomes a personal guru for millions of people, it blurs the line between technology and spirituality, fitting perfectly into the personalized spiritual landscape of contemporary Western culture.
