‘Travel to Coimbatore, Madurai’: Annamalai takes swipe at Vijay’s UK trip

M.K. Stalin, the DMK president, has criticized Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay's recent trip to London for investment promotions, questioning whether the Chief Minister secured any investments for Tamil Nadu during the visit. Stalin addressed the annual Mupperum Vizha at the DMK headquarters and asked Vijay why he went to London and what investments he brought to the state.

The DMK chief also took a jab at Vijay, noting that he had previously stated he would stop acting in films but continues to perform before the public, and that local shooting has now been replaced with foreign shooting. Vijay's six-day official visit to the United Kingdom secured investment commitments worth Rs 15,300 crore, which are expected to generate over 10,000 jobs in the state.
