The late Abubakar Sedik was an exceptional DCE – Ashanti Regional Minister

Dr Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, eulogized the late District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South West, Abubakar Sedik, as a remarkable and diligent administrator whose tireless efforts greatly advanced the district. At the Mankranso Assembly forecourt during the farewell ceremony, Dr Amoakohene lamented the premature demise of the young politician, emphasizing that it was a significant loss to the district, the Ashanti Region, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He highlighted Sedik's exceptional leadership qualities, commitment to the Ahafo Ano South West District, and his clear vision for the community's betterment. The regional minister noted that Sedik's presence was instrumental in addressing the district's challenges promptly and efficiently, and his determination to transform the lives of the people was unwavering.

Despite the profound void left by his death, the regional minister promised the government's continued dedication to advancing the late DCE's legacy through ongoing development initiatives in the district. The atmosphere at the funeral was somber, with family, friends, government officials, party supporters, and residents grappling with the sudden loss of a promising young leader who passed away in the midst of his service.

Some mourners were overcome with grief, shedding tears as they bid farewell to the late DCE, who was described as a dedicated leader whose untimely death deeply affected the community. Colleagues and party members also conveyed their sorrow, describing Sedik as a committed colleague passionate about public service whose contributions to the district's development would never be forgotten.

They expressed condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Ahafo Ano South West, and the NDC, urging the residents to stay united in pursuing the development agenda championed by the late Abubakar Sedik during his tenure.
