QFZ showcases Qatar’s free zones to global investors

The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) showcased the capabilities of Qatar's free zones to global investors at the Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg: UNGA Special Edition 2026, held in New York. The event, which brought together world leaders and business executives, focused on the forces driving global growth, investment, and resilience under the theme "Growth on New Terms: Capital, Risk and Resilience."

QFZ, led by Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al-Thani, participated as a Supporting Sponsor of the forum. The delegation included heads of state, global CEOs, investors, and business leaders. As part of its involvement, QFZ co-hosted a Business Lounge alongside Invest Qatar and the Qatar Financial Centre.

This lounge served as a platform for engaging with global leaders, highlighting Qatar's investment opportunities, and demonstrating the benefits of establishing and expanding operations within its free zones.

The QFZ's participation also involved signing strategic agreements aimed at localizing specialized manufacturing and service capabilities within Qatar's free zones. These agreements targeted the energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, with the goal of developing higher-value industrial activities, enhancing local capabilities, and promoting cross-border collaboration, innovation, and knowledge transfer.

These efforts align with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy, seeking to create a more competitive and globally connected industrial ecosystem in Qatar.
