Qatar strengthens trademark protection through staff training

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry concluded a two-day training programme on the Madrid Protocol for international trademark registration in Doha. This programme was held in collaboration with the GCC Intellectual Property Training Centre and was attended by numerous Ministry employees. The training covered the Madrid Protocol and its procedures, including the process for registering trademarks globally.

It also delved into the principal practical aspects of international registration, aiming to enhance participants' understanding and expertise in trademark registration and the safeguarding of intellectual property rights. This training initiative is part of the Ministry's commitment to enhancing cooperation and knowledge-sharing with specialized entities, as well as boosting staff proficiency in intellectual property matters.

Such efforts are instrumental in fortifying Qatar's intellectual property rights protection framework, thereby augmenting the nation's economic competitiveness, economic diversity, and investment attractiveness.
